All religions have their own calendar systems, and the Bahá'í religion is no exemption. The Bahá'ís use the Badí' calendar to organize events, activities, celebrate Holy days and arrange other observances. The history of the Bahá'´calendar began at sundown year 1844 A.D., at the declaration of the Báb. His calendar system (the Badí' calendar), was later ratified by Bahá'u'lláh.
